Different Types of Processors

Anything in a computer is connected with a unique thing which is the processor. We can say a processor is the king of a computer. You can understand different types of processors, their power, and better usage. The processor is powerful means you have a powerful PC. Here 2 main companies are creating processors in the world. 1st Intel Second AMD. The most powerful and selling processors are Intel processors. AMD got the second number in this field. We discuss 1st thing Intel processors than AMD.

Intel Pentium processors

The Intel company starts its journey with Pentium processors. Pentium generation is a single-core processor it is the king for a long period of time. Pentium 1, Pentium 2, Pentium 3, and Pentium 4 are different types of processors. Pentium processors are very rare now. You are thinking why I am discussing here Pentium Processors if they went. But no, it is not the reality Intel is a big company and they did waste their product. The Intel company upgrades the Pentium Generation and now it is used in Chromebooks. Many useful and latest Chrome Book models have attached Pentium’s latest generation processors.

Chrome Book users

Chrome books are very smart and it gives a mobility touch. Professionally work for office use and enjoy movies and creating documents with Chrome operating system. I can make this long just want to give a touch to Chrome users and for those who want to buy a chrome book with Pentium history. The next-generation Intel starts with core and registers its trademark Core from dual chore and core to due many people like me and maybe you also use PCs or a laptop which has core 2 due to processor but this long journey starts with core I series. Important thing is to go to the core I series Intel has created other single-core processors models or generations.

Intel Celeron Processors

Another type of single-core processor type is Celeron. You can describe it to the next level of single-core processors. Many latest Laptops attached to Celeron processors are from different generations but it is also not more powerful than the I series. This type of Intel processor is also in the use of low-level laptops and Chrome books with Chrome OS.

But the powerful processor unit from Intel is in series with its generations.

Multi-Core Intel Processors

Intel Xeon processors

Intel introduces this processor for Data Sciences systems where many processors are attached and work together. We can say also for those systems that run a long time like video editing because these processors are good for rendering. But not much powerful for gaming because Xeon processors single-core working is slow to I series. That type of processor is good for other purposes that I already described.

Intel i series processor

Something is important to understand this I series after core i3,5,7,9 another thing is also written with processor generation G, E, F, G, H, HQ, HK, etc different types of processors performance system. To understand what means of that read the list

  • G1-G11 Graphic Level (integrated graphics  technology only)
  • E Embedded
  • F Requires discrete graphics
  • G Includes discrete graphics
  • H High-performance optimized
  • Hk High performance unlocked
  • HQ High performance, QuadCore
  • K unlocked
  • S Special Edition
  • T power optimized lifestyle
  • U power efficient
  • Y extremely low power
  • X/Xe unlocked, High end
  • B-Ball Grid Array

There are 3 things 1st I series like a core i3, the second thing is a generation indicator and the last thing is an SKU that indicates processor capabilities of Intel Core i3-4005U which means the processor has been designed for mobile power efficiency. Y means extremely low power.

I series starts from i3 to i9. And generations 1 to10 now also Intel introduced 11 generation which is very powerful for gaming with Xe, Xe Max graphics. If you play games on your PC or laptop and want to buy a Gaming Laptop you can click here to get more details and specs with a low budget.

Next-Gen of Intel Series

The 11th Generation high-performance laptops with lightweight, high-performance, and responsive laptops were created under the Intel Athena program. After the 11th Generation with Tiger Lake and after another Alder Lake 12th Generation high-performing processor with integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics high-quality laptops. These laptops cover all of the public requirements and can get the Intel EVO brand after they complete the Intel EVO brand criteria from manufacturers.

Upgradation of I series

This thing is very important for you if you are hypothetically using an i5 3rd generation laptop and you want to change only the processor. You cannot change it with the 4th generation but you can change it to the i7 3rd generation because this generation system and Motherboards and processors are designed to move from one series to another, not from one generation to another.

AMD Processor

The second most processor-selling company is AMD. AMD starts its journey of processor making from the K8 series and then goes to the next K10 series CPUs from 2007 to 2013. After this product, AMD creates the Bulldozer series. Now we see the latest series of Zen or Ryzen series from Ryzen 3 it is a competition of Intel i3 but the Intel i3 has 4 with equal threads. then Ryzen 5 vs Intel Core i5 with 6 cores but Ryzen 5 with 8 to 12 threads but Intel has 6 threads Ryzen clock speed is 4.2- 4.6GHz and core i5 is 4.1 – 4.6GHz. It means Ryzen improves threads and clock speed in its Ryzen 5 series. Same as AMD created Ryzen 7 into the competition with the Intel core i7 Which has 6 – 8 cores same but AMD threads are up to core i7 which is 8-12 threads. At least Ryzen 9 12 – 16 core vs core i9 8 core with 16 threads Intel and AMD threads 24-32.

Different types of processors

Threads?

What is Thread you read many times in comparisons of intel to the Ryzen? Thread is the virtual component that divides the core that is attached to the CPU physically into virtual multiple cores.

Continue about to the topic

Confusion about the thread is finished now/ Another thing in AMD and Intel processors are the same to know that is the generation 5940X 6980HX

What is X HX T U etc?

AMD processor uses the same Intel coding to understand the processor SKU indicators.

U stands for “Standard Mobile”

H stands for “High-Performance Mobile”

HS stands for “High Performance, low power (desktop) with GFX”

X suffix simply means it’s a slightly faster version

X3D die stacking and packaging technology

HX Mobile Processors with Radeon Graphics

Conclusion

In my personal experience, AMD creates good graphic cards. AMD focuses on gaming because of its business with gaming but its thermal capacity beat Nvidia graphic cards and Intel focused on creating all types of processors. Intel has a wide range of creating processors and created processors for data collection, mobile usability, and all system units so for usage Intel is the best choice. For gaming AMD best choice. But now Intel also focused on gaming with the creation of X Xe graphics.
